I’m fourteen, and I just had brain surgery.
I’ll be out for our whole softball season, and I’ve been very depressed. I went to the first game, even though I couldn’t play. I arrived to see every girl on the field had my number sewn on the front of their jersey.

Today, there was a blood drive in my school.
As the nurse was putting betadine on my arm, I look over to see on of the senior girls from my class. She is terrified of needles and was trembling as she gave blood. When I asked her she gave a simple response: Fear shouldn’t stop you from doing something right.

My little sister was turning 8 a few weeks ago. We just moved here, so she doesn’t have any friends.
The “scary” girl in my class overheard me telling someone about my little sister. She got a bunch of her friends to dress up as Disney princesses, her leading them as Snow White.

Three days ago, my best friend died.
Two days ago, I found that she was an organ donor.
One day ago, I heard that a nine year old boy now had her heart.
Today, I met that nine year old boy. He told me that because he had my best friend’s heart, he’d be my best friend now. My best friend and him GMH.
